About G1 Universe
G1 Universe is a Transformers reference and collecting site focused on vintage Generation 1 toys and the modern collectibles inspired by the original era.
The site grew from a lifelong fascination — obsession, really — with Transformers that began in 1984, at the beginning of what would become known as Generation One.
The site includes:
- Collector checklists and reference guides
- Figure profiles and photo galleries
- Release information and product documentation
- Reviews and reference notes
- Coverage of Hasbro, Takara Tomy, Blokees, Threezero, and other Transformers manufacturers
- Transformers media, history, and other related material
G1 Universe is intended to serve as a useful reference library for collectors, preserving and organizing information about Transformers toys, media, collectibles, releases, and related material.
The scope is intentionally broad — leaving room to explore the history, media, and products, including some of the lesser-known corners of Transformers history and collecting.
G1 Universe is designed to complement the excellent Transformers resources already available, offering another reference point and contribution to the broader collecting community.
Background
G1 Universe is operated by Darth Traders LLC.
From 2009 to 2019, Darth Traders operated as an eBay-based business specializing in vintage toys and games, completing thousands of transactions while maintaining 100% positive feedback and more than 2,200 feedback ratings.
Active selling has since given way to research, documentation, and archival preservation, which continue today through G1 Universe.
G1 Universe is an independent fan site and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Hasbro, Takara Tomy, or any other manufacturer featured on the site.
